Example Layouts is a set of venue plans, and it is a download. It is a slide deck, so the layouts are drawings rather than text, which is exactly why it is worth opening rather than reading about.
Every venue is different. These are starting points to adapt to the space, equipment and volunteers you actually have, not plans to copy exactly.
What it shows
Each layout appears twice, once during Team Check-in and Inspection and once during Matches and Tech Trials, so you can see what moves between the two and plan the changeover rather than discovering it on the day.
SRC layouts, at three sizes
- 10 to 12 teams, with minimal equipment and volunteers. The smallest workable event.
- 10 to 20 teams, with standard equipment and volunteers, adding a team staging area.
- 20 or more teams, with a status display, schedule and ranking boards, and shared practice space.
SRM layouts
The same treatment for the Missions programmes, starting at one programme with 10 to 14 teams.
Seeing them side by side is the useful part: it shows how an event scales as participation grows, so you can plan a first event that has somewhere to go.
