To provide a safe and effective learning environment, TEAM Alliance collects the following types of personal information:

• Student Information. This may include details such as full name, date of birth, grade level, and team number.
• Parent or Guardian Information. This may include details such as full name, email address, and phone number.
• Program Participation. This may include details such as attendance records, team assignments, and Activities results.
• Media. This may include details such as photos or videos of individuals participating in the Activities as well as individuals present at the Activities.

2. Why We Collect Personal Information

We use the collected personal information for the following purposes:

• Program Administration. This includes activities such as registering individuals for Activities and teams.
• Communication. This includes activities such as sending updates, schedules, and safety alerts regarding Activities as well as sending surveys or donation requests.
• Safety. This includes activities such as contacting a parent or guardian in an emergency.
  

We also use your personal information to create anonymized, aggregate data that we share with grantors and donors to sustain our programs. For example, we may inform a donor that “we served 200 middle schoolers.”

3. When We Share Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We only share personal information, besides photos and videos of you, with third parties if required by law or to protect the safety of individuals at the Activities. If you (or your parent or guardian, where applicable) consent, we may share photos or video footage of you for:

• Education: Providing educational presentations and distributing recruitment brochures.
• Grants and Donor Reports: Completing grant applications and reports to donors.
• Publicity: Issuing press releases, sharing information with local media, and posting on our website or social media channels (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn).
  

When we share photos or videos, TEAM Alliance takes steps to protect the privacy of all participants. We will not include your full name alongside any photos or videos of you on our website or in our social media posts. And any media containing personal information will focus on the educational environment, robot construction, team collaboration, and sponsor recognition.

4. How To Control Your Personal Information

You have certain rights concerning the personal information we collect about you or, as applicable, your child. If you are a minor, your parent or guardian can exercise the rights on your behalf. Specifically, you have the right to:

• Access. Request that we provide you copies of the personal information we have about you. At your request, we will try to provide you that information in a commonly used, machine readable format.
• Correction. Request that we correct inaccurate personal information we have about you.
• Deletion. Request that we delete personal information we have about you.
• Change Your Mind. Withdraw your consent to certain activities. If you do so, however, your student may be unable to participate in certain Activities.

If you are outside the United States, this section applies to you and supplements the details elsewhere in this policy.

• Who is the controller? TEAM Alliance is the controller of your personal information. You can contact us using the email address provided below.
• What is our legal basis for processing personal information? We collect and use personal information based on your consent, to comply with our legal obligations, and in connection with our legitimate interests—including securing funding, coordinating the Activities, and promoting the Activities.  
• How long do we retain personal information? We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected. We may keep your information longer as we deem appropriate to comply with our legal obligations or exercise our legal rights.
• Do we transfer personal information to other countries? We may transfer your personal information to the United States or another country. When we do so, we will rely on an appropriate legal mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or the appropriate contractual measures. You can contact us for information about that mechanism.
• What if you have concerns about how TEAM Alliance uses your information? We hope that you contact us so that we can address your concern. But you can also file a complaint with your data supervisory authority.
• Can you stop the processing of your personal information? If we process your personal information based on our legitimate interest, you have the right to request that we stop doing so.
