Code of Conduct

TEAM Alliance is committed to creating a fun, inclusive, and Student-Powered environment where all participants can build confidence in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) and develop a lifelong excitement for learning. This Code of Conduct applies to all participants, including Event Hosts, volunteers, Team Coordinators, students, parents, and event attendees.

  • Create a fun and positive environment that encourages learning, effort, and participation.
  • Treat all participants, volunteers, staff, and attendees with kindness and respect.
  • Ensure students lead the work while adults provide guidance and support.
  • Compete with integrity and demonstrate good sportsmanship in all situations.
  • Act in ways that protect the physical and emotional safety of all participants.
  • Follow all TEAM Alliance rules, policies, and event guidelines.
  • Respect the venue, equipment, and shared spaces and help keep them clean and safe.

The following behaviors are not allowed at TEAM Alliance events or activities:

  • Bullying, harassment, or discrimination of any kind
  • Use of profane, insulting, or inappropriate language
  • Aggressive, unsafe, or disruptive behavior
  • Adult behavior that violates the Student-Powered philosophy
  • Actions that diminish the experience or inclusion of others

TEAM Alliance reserves the right to address behavior that does not align with this Code of Conduct. Consequences may include:

  • Warnings or guidance
  • Removal from an event
  • Removal of qualification status to a State/Regional/National Championship
  • Removal from TEAM Alliance Programs


Note: There is an appeal process before the removal of any TEAM Alliance events, activities, and/or programs.

Our goal is not punishment, but to protect a positive and inclusive experience for all students.
